The Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division presents “Fright Night in the Park” at Slater Memorial Park. The Halloween festivities take place on Friday and Saturday evenings, starting September 30 and continuing through Saturday, October 29. Events will not take place during periods of inclement weather. Event cancellations will be noted on the “City of Pawtucket” and the “Slater Park Haunted Tunnel” Facebook pages.
The Haunted Tunnel attraction will take place at the Daggett Farm facility within the Park. The tunnel opens at 6:30 and closes by 9 p.m. Early arrival is strongly suggested due to large attendance in addition to the line closure prior to 9 p.m. The cost for the Tunnel is $8.00 per person, regardless of age and group discounts are not offered. Because of its scary content, the Tunnel is strongly recommended for ages 12 and above only. The Haunted Tunnel can be found on Facebook under “Slater Park Haunted Tunnel” and at “Haunted Tunnel at Daggett Farm” on Youtube.
Adjacent to the carousel Slater Park Pavilion is the “family-friendly” “Jack-o-Lantern Village” event displayed with jack-o-lanterns, a witch’s house and a variety of funny face houses. Admission is $4.00 per person with pre-school children entering for free and is open 6:30 – 9 pm.
The carousel will also be open throughout the month’s festivities as well, until October 30 from 6 - 8 p.m on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 8 p.m. The carousel will also be open on Sundays from 11 am to 5 p.m through October 30th as well, weather permitting.
For further information regarding these events, call the Pawtucket Parks & Recreation office at 728-0500 x251, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am through 4:30 pm.
